General Diagnosis and Treatment
As a qualified and registered clinical psychologist Dr Rob Agnew diagnoses mental health conditions, neurodevelopmental conditions and cognitive impairment. This involves meeting an individual to administer standardised tests and take a clinical history. Often this can involve working in unison with other professionals like psychiatrists and therapists.
Rob has received training in a number of therapeutic models including cognitive behavioural therapy, systemic family therapy, psychodynamic therapy, clinical hypnosis and behavioural approaches. In addition to the therapeutic approaches offered Rob, as a psychologist, also uses theories and models from psychology in his work. Specific approaches that Rob has practised in include applied behavioural analysis and positive behavioural support. Rob is experienced in offering modified forms of psychotherapy to individuals with cognitive impairment or who have social communication difficulties such as autism.
